Miniature Dollhouse Arcade Game

This was so much fun creating. I opened up my PC the started illustrating my graphics. Not the best of art but as far as miniature goes it works out fabulous or at least I think so lol.
I’ll be posting this tutorial and template soon so don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel and my website.www.dollhouseminiaturemadnessandtutorials.com

ok guys so today I’m going to show you
0:03
how to make a miniature arcade game
0:08
ok guys so the very first thing you need
0:12
to do is get the template from my
0:13
website and print it out then cut the
0:16
scroll ok guys so now we’re going to
0:18
install a screen so you’re gonna need
0:19
some Mod Podge and then what you’re
0:21
going to do is you’re going to paint it
0:23
on your screen section get it completely
0:26
covered try to thin it out the best that
0:28
you can you don’t want to think because
0:30
it will bubble up the paper because this
0:31
is just regular printing paper now you
0:34
could use some photo paper if you like
0:38
but I didn’t do that now you’re going to
0:41
turn it over and you’re going to place
0:42
this directly in the center just like
0:47
that
0:48
make sure you get it good and in the
0:51
center and then flatten it around the
0:52
edges just to make sure like that
0:58
ok so now after that then I’m going to
1:00
take a box knife and i’m going to go on
1:03
something flat and i’m just going to cut
1:06
the excess all just like that
1:18
should leave me with that now I’m going
1:23
to paint some Mod Podge over top of it
1:26
ok so now you want to let that dry after
1:28
you’ve painted on with a soft paint
1:30
brush
1:40
ok so now you want to go ahead and glue
1:42
this right here like this
1:44
ok now you want to take the front bottom
1:47
and you want to bevel this edge right
1:49
here you can do that by using sandpaper
1:51
should be approximately a 45 degree
1:55
angle
1:56
ok so now you want to put a piece of
1:58
tape on the back side of this masking
2:01
tape is what we’re using and that’s
2:03
going to help hold it when we glue it
2:04
you’re going to take the back piece line
2:12
it right even with the edge and then
2:14
i’ll show you how we’re gonna do it
2:15
right once you have it lined up even
2:18
with the edge make sure the top meets
2:21
then you’re going to put some glue right
2:24
along here and then your tape should
2:31
fold much like a bookbinding and then
2:34
you want to fold that way doesn’t really
2:36
matter about this line of glue right
2:37
here but you can wipe it off of the
2:39
bothers you
2:40
ok the tape will help hold that until it
2:43
dries
2:44
alright so next we’re going to go ahead
2:48
and put glue right here along the bottom
2:50
and on this side here you may need a
2:56
little bit more if it’s the end green
2:57
make sure it’s even with the bottom and
3:02
even with this live here and then use
3:04
masking tape to hold it until it dies
3:11
at this point you can stand it up on the
3:12
side and press it down to make sure you
3:14
haven’t even with the ground for the
3:17
table
3:19
ok so the front piece if you remember I
3:22
said you had to cut this at a 45 or you
3:24
have to sand it we just went ahead and
3:26
sand it are set of 45 so you can kind of
3:29
see it we’re going to go ahead and put
3:31
that on next
3:32
ok so now what I’ve done is up at some
3:35
go here and then I’ve add some right
3:37
here along the back and then we’re going
3:40
to attach it right here even with the
3:42
front of this and even with the bottom
3:44
and then you want to make sure that your
3:46
line is evenly dispersed right along the
3:50
front here because it’s going to be
3:52
recessed a little bit and work once you
3:58
have it where you need to be then you
3:59
want to secure it with masking tape
4:02
ok so now this piece that we did in the
4:04
beginning is dry and then you want to do
4:06
the same thing here as we did here
4:08
withstanding it on a 45 and then we’re
4:13
going to glue it right here
4:14
ok so i went ahead and put some glue on
4:17
are beveled edge there and a little bit
4:19
of glue here now the 45 angle is going
4:22
to face toward the top and then we’re
4:25
going to put it right in here like this
4:26
make sure your line is even because you
4:31
will have a little bit of a space there
4:32
and then remove the excess glue with
4:36
like a popsicle stick or something good
4:41
ok so now we’re going to the top right
4:44
here
4:58
t-shirts even with the back
5:13
and then make sure it’s even along this
5:15
side here
5:20
alright once you have it even remove
5:24
your excess glue
5:31
and then we’ll install the top screen
5:37
ok it install the screen we went ahead
5:40
and double this just slightly right and
5:47
then we’re going to add some glue right
5:49
along the edge and then also right along
5:52
this edge then we’ll put some tape on
5:55
there don’t move
6:08
then we’re just going to insert the
6:10
frame of the screen right in that spot
6:19
try to keep your space even all the way
6:22
down because it is going to be a little
6:24
bit of a space
6:29
okay so this isn’t necessary but just to
6:33
kind of help hold it because I’m not
6:34
waiting for it to dry i went ahead and
6:35
attach the piece of scrap wood right
6:38
there just to kind of keep it from
6:39
sliding and i also put tape on the back
6:41
here and people in the back here to hold
6:44
it until it dries
6:45
however because it’s on the back you
6:47
don’t need to worry about removing it
6:48
right now what we’re going to do is
6:50
we’re gonna line all along here with
6:52
glue and then up on this side here with
6:54
glue
6:56
ok so now i have the glue on the end
6:58
here which will go right up in here and
7:00
then all along one here and now we’re
7:02
gonna place this on top with the back
7:05
and the top being even two and then you
7:12
want to tape it to hold it until it
7:14
dries
7:16
ok so this is what it looked like before
7:18
you paint it or do anything like that
7:20
the screen you can do whatever you want
7:22
but as far as the joystick and
7:26
everything goes you can use the print
7:28
out and then you can also use either a
7:31
stick pen or a map pen for the joystick
7:40
ok so if you don’t want to see the edge
7:45
right here with the line on there you
7:47
can always cut a very thin piece of
7:49
balsa wood and then sand it on an angle
7:52
and then just place it on here right on
7:56
top and then you won’t have to see that
8:01
unfinished edge
8:02
however when you paint it you probably
8:04
won’t even see it anyway and putting the
8:09
standard edge down the bottom
8:21
and I’m lining the top edge right there
8:32
ok so the arcade game is done now all
8:37
but we have to do is take this recycled
8:41
plastic which you can get off the
8:43
packaging that’s where i got mine cut it
8:45
to fit inside here and then you’re going
8:49
to create the screen with it now you mod
8:51
podge this of course but now you’re
8:54
going to put this right here and then
8:55
you’re gonna fold it just slide right up
9:00
underneath there and then you have what
9:02
looks like a screen now this I have to
9:07
put a little bit more go alongside and
9:08
add enough but for this part here i just
9:11
used a piece of cardboard and I cut it
9:14
to fit the logo at the top and then this
9:16
is just a stick pen that you use for
9:18
sellin it just kind of gives it that
9:21
feel of a control stick or joystick i
9:25
should say and then for the side panels
9:30
in the template it’s just a rectangle
9:33
you just want to measure it to fit there
9:35
and then you want to mod podge it the
9:37
same way we do wallpaper but do not use
9:40
excessive amounts of the Mod Podge
9:41
because what will happen is the paper
9:43
will start the bubble and crinkle you
9:46
don’t want that you just want a very
9:48
thin even layer all the way down on the
9:50
wood then you want to put that on there
9:53
press it real good smooth it out let it
9:55
dry once it’s dry then put the top code
9:58
one when that’s dry then you want to
10:01
take in lay it flat like this take your
10:05
box cutter and cut right along the edge
10:07
i made that template part with the
10:11
pattern on it bigger because you could
10:14
have that time for that space to cut it
10:16
if I didn’t do that then you might not
10:19
have it accurate and you don’t want to
10:20
have that ok so again this is just a
10:27
piece of cardboard and you can see where
10:29
i don’t have a clue on there i got a
10:31
little bit more glue it’s recycle i’ll
10:33
put a little piece of glue on there and
10:35
that’ll cover that and you can see the
10:37
gloss from now having that plan
10:39
stick on there now this is just recycled
10:42
but you can also get off sheet
10:44
protectors and they’re about the same
10:46
thickness and you can use that
10:55
and I just painted a light yellow I may
10:59
have to go back and put a little bit
11:01
darker yellow on it because my print out
11:03
a little bit lighter than a little bit
11:06
more yellow than the actual color
11:08
opinionated with that’s it
11:14
hopefully this tutorial was helpful and

11:21
little arcade games definitely share

with us because i’d love to see how you
11:26
do it and we will be making more until
11:30
next time have a great day
